let's go up to the north bay, emily turner has her eye on storm damage. >> good morning. i'm here in roanoke park where a tree came down last night. take a look at the damage it's done to this mobile home. it is red tagged and the people who live here are very, very lucky. it all happened around 9:00 last night when the storm was really picking up and the wind was blowing, the rain was coming down. when this tree just came crashing down into the mobile home, crushing it. two people were home. neither one of them was hurt but we found out that one of the people who was home was in the bed. this came crashing down through the bedroom keeling was just feet from her face. they were very lucky. no injuries there. the home has been red tagged due to the major damage and the folk who live here were picked up by family to shelter tonight. overall when it comes to the north bay they really dodged a bullet. >> we understand there is the potential that it'll likely stall out over them and that's the fear we are here. we are fortunate it looked like the -- the river that we had here

. >>> out to the north bay, emily turner is live. >> it was a close call for one family here in the mobile home park. you can see what's left of the tree that fell on this mobile home. it happened about 9:00 last night. that's when the winds were really whipping and the rain was just coming down and this tree -- it's a 100-foot plus poplar tree that came down and fell on the back side of this mobil, home which i'm told is the bedroom. two people were inside but one of them -- specifically the woman was in the bedroom at the time the tree fell. she was lying down in the bed when it burst through the roof and then stopped just feet from her face which you can only imagine how terrifying that must have been. the mobile home has been red tagged. i'm sure it's getting a lot of water damage as a result of that hole from the tree. the family is safe and now spending the night with other family members. there isn't any major damage in the north bay. >> we understand there's the potential of the river is likely going to staal out over them and that's the kind of fear we have here. we are fortunate

good morning, it's sunday, january 31, i'm emily turner. let's start with a check of our weather with meterologist darren peck. >> light rain out there this morning but pretty much confined to the north bay, it looks good if you look at high death doppler but let's come in for a tighter view. you can see the showers that are working their way on shore. we've already picked up about 307 inch rain in sonoma county over the last three hours. it's not heavy stuff but it is light rain and we can watch it on the futurecast from 6:00 it sticks around to the early hour morning and then by 9:00, 10:00, the most depressive of this will be done but there's a chance you get a shower in sonoma county. so that's our top headline. north bay, shower today but rain bay area wide, tomorrow, much more impressive, in fact. we could pick up half an inch or more from the rain coming our way tomorrow. i will show you that in the complete forecast. it'll also be witty tomorrow, particularly in the afternoon as the system comes on shore. we are not dealing with any
