where emily willard.and her team are utilizing formerly classified documents released by the defense intelligence agency to help bring accountability to the atrocity. welcome to democracy now! start off by telling us what you have, what you feel is the most important of the documents you have released. think one of the most important documents that we have released is over the years one of the key documents shows the u.s. and the international community's failure to intervene in rwanda when the genocide was already occurring. there's the department of defense memo that is a one-page memo, clearly saying there is an idea that the united states jam in rwanda that were inciting the massacres. the document clearly says it would be ineffective and too expensive to jam the radios, and it would be cheaper for the united states and more efficient to follow up after the violence had ended with state support. so this clearly shows the was apprehension -- the u.s. is apprehension in militarily getting involved and g
