let's discuss all of this with bloomberg managing editor for global business, emma o'brien. a taking the unusual step of endorsing vaccine mixing for boosters. what are they saying? emma: you have the u.s. drug authority approving the moderna vaccine, booster for americans aged 65 and over, along with those over 18 at higher risk. they said any adult who received the johnson & johnson one-shot vaccine can get a booster two months after receiving their first dose which is pretty aggressive. alongside that, as you noted, they said that any of the three covid vaccines authorized in the u.s., moderna, pfizer, biontech shot, and johnson & johnson, could be given as a booster. this shows the u.s. is really doubling down the booster program, given the uptick in cases and deaths we have seen in the past month or so. most of those have been in unvaccinated people with the u.s. hitting a bit of a hesitancy wall since its initial rollout but there has been breakthrough cases and this is what this is targeting, especially in people who got their vaccinations early. haidi: in the meantime

our managing editor emma o'brien joins us. we are getting crown's response now. they say they will work cooperatively with the government and they are reviewing the report and the government response. is this a second chance? because clearly investors are loving stopping short of removing the license. emma: yeah, that is a curious reaction. up as much as 12%. obviously investors expected this to be worse. at least he melbourne casino is allowed to keep running, unlike their property in sydney. that is probably the silver lining here. you would think any potential investors, and of course you have blackstone and star entertainment circling crown for a couple of months. you would think this strict government oversight for the next two years would be a deterrent. but perhaps they may view it, and perhaps this is what shareholders are doing, as a chance for them to just get through, clean things up over these next two years, and then i n the clear after that. kathleen: so what will they have to do now to walk that path? obviously it seems a lot of people are figuring

our global business managing editor emma o'brien joins us now. how do you put all these latest developments together? >> in the global scheme of things, china's outlook is pretty minimal. we are talking 26 new cases in the world's most populous nation. burford china, a place with strategy when it comes to covid reliance as soon as they emerge to prevent any spread is pretty worrying. it has gone from a handful of places to 11 provinces in basically a week. we are talking in a month to the north to beijing, which is always very sensitive, then further south. there's even a case in the province, which is home to wuhan where covid-19 first emerged. the fact that you have health officials warning about an increase shows they know delta is the much tougher one. it's definitely proving that way to china, with these resurgence is of local transmission outbreaks. they are coming much more frequently than they did with delta. haidi: our global business managing editor with the latest in china. let's get you to su keenan in new york with our first word hea
