joining us now is richard engel from jordan. richard, you were on a flight delivering aid to gaza.t did you see? >> reporter: so, as you mentioned, there are now children starving to death in gaza. and as they are waiting now for potential new offensive in the south, they are waiting word of a potential cease-fire, which does not seem to be materializing because of a disagreement between hamas and israel over the terms of the cease-fire. would it be a permanent cease-fire? would all the people who are now crammed into southern gaza be allowed to return to their homes in northern gaza or what's left of their homes? some of the worst famine, some of the worst humanitarian disaster is in the north, where people have generally been forced to plea and head to the south and towards area along the egyptian border. so, yes, earlier today we got on a jordanian military flight. it was a c-130, u.s.-made standard military transport plane. and they dropped -- it did an air drop of aid into the gaza strip into northern gaza, and it dropped palates of food donated by the people of this country,
