so it's been a while since we've england. we'll give it the respect it deserve, but i don't think this is a storm that brings us to our knees. i sure hope not after last winter. snow, sleet and freezing rain this morning, radar showing that we have some purple on the map and some blue. that's indicating where we do have that sleet and freezing rain and snow going back and forth with some pockets of steadier snow north of town. this is where we think most of the accumulating snow is going to happen. we'll be up in this location here for the next hour, hour and a half, but even up here, methuen, lawrence and amesbury and dracut, it does become a sleet and freezing rain event. it's happening now, this mixed ribbon, if you will, is working north out of rhode island as the city of boston. and so it will be briefly in the form of snow and sleet in the city, and then it's a cold rain in the city mid-morning through this afternoon, early afternoon. then it tapers off. slow to sleet the rain in the pink shading, basically 95 to 128 up

this year returning to with a you normally find in new england england. that rain snow ribbon will find its home somewhere in metrowest and then work its way up through the route 2 corridor but i think it gets into town probably just after about 2:00 or 3:00 tomorrow morning the brief period of snow and sleet in the essentially just a cold rain in downtown boston. farther inland pink shading here snow to sleet and then eventually rain and then the blue shadings is where you will find the snow and the sleet around freezing rain the longest and most in this deeper shade of blue there is some concern of some ice buildup and chris will talk about that in just a second second. right now in new england it is cold. something we have not seen very much this early winter season here in the month of december but certainly today. and here is the storm system. now the center of the storm is going to pass to our west and when that happens, usually at some point warmer air no matter how long or short does win out and so that is what is on the table for overnight tonigh
