i'm talking about ensco. it's fooled so many people. right now it has an $11 stock allegedly trading as low as 4.9 lower than wall street's estimate of $2.27 per share. that's the average of all the estimates put out there by the analyst community. in a vacuum that number seems extraordinary, what a bargain, especially at a time when the average stock in the s&p is selling 16 times earnings. given that their stock is down 80% in the last two years, wow, i want that one. i think you would be dead wrong. the problem, it only looks low right now because the earnings estimates are still too high. the fact is the company's core offshore drilling business is eroding right before our eyes, production is simply not economical with crude here at $31 a barrel. the day rates for these offshore rigs of ensco have plummeted. this whole industry will continue to be in a house of pain. and many of the smaller companies may not even survive in their present form. in that case, ensco is likely going to have to slash those earnings forecasts again. and w

it's lower than 7.5% and ensco and legg mason. it is really hard to beat the market.n harder to beat the market over the very long haul, three years, five years, ten years, 25 years. but at the end of 2015 the pairness fund has done just that. jerome dodson has managed that fund for over 30 years and he joins us now. good to have you here. >> thank you very much. thank you for having me. >> we want to tell everybody you're a fund that's considered socially conscious, so you don't invest in things like weapons. last year you stopped investing in fossil fuels. you don't invest in nuclear, guns, et cetera. so those are the things you don't invest in. we'll get to that, but you have to buy stuff to be in your fund so what is it that you buy and the way you think about it that you've been able to beat the markets for 25 years here at least? >> one of the important things is we invest in companies that have good workplaces. they treat their employees well and we think that pays dividends and that's really helped us a lot. also avoiding companies that have environmental prob
