epa chief scott pruitt under fire. and he's now accused of reaching out to the head of chick-fil-a to help his wife land a franchise. here's abc's kyra phillips tonight with the e-mails from prui pruitt's staff as they were reaching out to chick-fil-a, all to help his wife. >> reporter: tonight, epa administrator scott pruitt defending himself amid revelations he tried to use his official clout to get his wife marilyn a franchise with fast food chain chick-fil-a. >> my wife is an entrepreneur herself. i love, she loves, we love -- chick-fil-a is a franchise of faith. >> reporter: last may, pruitt's official epa scheduler emailed chick-fil-a's ceo directly. the subject line, "meeting with administrator scott pruitt." the scheduler writing, "the administrator asked me to reach out to you." she then worked with chick-fil-a to set up a call, adding, "the administrator would like to talk about a potential business opportunity." pruitt eventually spoke with someone at the company, telling abc news the subject of that phone c
