success is there are now many investment funds some of them private equity some i wouldn't really characterize in that way that have as their basic the acquisition companies on the point of transition the conversion of those companies into shared ownership model of some sort could be a esop could be an employee ownership trust and then some hold period probably followed by a sale of the company. so we're probably familiar with the much touted statistics around retiring baby boomers over tsunami. there's no shortage of businesses in america that be transitioning in the next, capturing more of funding, some sort of conversion. that's the basic strategy behind these investment funds, for what it's worth for institutional investors. the room every single person i talk to at these funds said that there's no issue finding candidates businesses with strong financial years that would make wonderful transition targets into some kind of shared ownership model. the issue is getting capital they do not have enough access to institutional capital. many people i said i talked to said know i could execute a fund ten or 100 times the size of my current one tomorrow. if p

investment they are doing with a.i. will payoff. i think we're on the right side of the debate if you own these companies. >> we spend a lot of time talking about the equities. let's talk about bonds. i know it is not your wheelhouse. what percentage should be in bonds? we have seen yields climb a bit and pce coming up. >> i think outside u.s. bonds look relatively good because deappl deflation coming out of china and inflationary easing. fiscal trajectory remains high. both the democrats and republicans have fiscal expansionary policies coming through. if they will be implemented raior not depends on the legislature. i think bonds are good to own because of the deinflationary. >> you have a lot to say about china. are we talking about corporate bonds? what looks more attractive to you? >> i think credit spreads are tight. they are supposed to be tight at this stage of the cycle. >> moving on to china. this is what you are excited to talk about. we saw the stimulus in china. it's not the bazooka. a lot of people looking for possible stimulus when it comes to china is there one part of the chiends na market that look attractive? >> china is in a recession. c

equity companies, so those are the entities that really have taken the lead in aggressive pursuit of low income patients.>> again, these are ownership companies that are only interested in a return on investment. that is extraordinary that we have allowed that to become the norm in our healthcare system. we aren't too far from an era in which we thought healthcare was so important, kind of like elementary schools, that there should be some connection to the common good and now that is vanishing. i wanted to ask you about medical credit cards which is an extraordinary new phenomenon driven in part by the financial station of our healthcare system. hospitals are adopting these cards in one north carolina hospital, they went from 9% of their patients paying interest on their bills up to 46% paying interest because the hospitals brought in a credit card company instead of just putting patient on installment plans, they sent them to a credit card company. these companies are charging extraordinary interest rates, are often overhyping the benefits of the card, do you see this as a problem for your patience question mark >> i think that is a huge problem and to your point, you can imagine a world wh

equity market. you can see this happening in the u.k. market. if you make it more burdensome for investors to invest in companies in the u.k., then you may as well.s. jobs report. when the picture is more optimistic than then, why are we not seeing reflected in commodity prices? colin: we have talked before about what is happening in the global manufacturing cycle. it continues to bottom out but we have been in this downtrend for manufacturing for 18 months now, nasa part of the economy that has really been suffering. that has to do with what is going on with china, europe, as well. if you see that manufacturing cycle turnaround, you see the demand for commodities start to pick up, this is where we get this divergence of views between the markets. on one side, the equity market is saying it will be fine. we should be in the risk. the commodities market is telling you, be careful, because growth will not look that great and demand for commodities is not looking great going forward. then you go to the bond market, pricing in 200 basis points of cuts in the u.s. in 12 months time. that is in line with what happens at the start of recession. the bon
