eric: it could have been lethal. alyx sacks visited with the fire department to get information on how to keep family safe. alyx: it can be dangerous. it can attack you when you think you are safest, and your home. that is where cover monoxide leaks can and often happen. anywhere there is a gas appliance like a furnace, gas when walking through town, there is carbon monoxide in the air all the time but there is high exposure that can be really dangerous and fatal. what happens is it gets in tp -- into the air and gets into your bloodstream, blocks out oxygen, and gets into your body. that can be poisonous. some of the symptoms are nausea. if it gets serious and you stay in that environment, that can turn into vomiting and possibly even going to more serious things like a seizure. they recommend getting a carbon monoxide detector in your home. the fire department tells us a good place to have it is close to where you sleep. >> the detector in the area of the bedrooms right outside, we really want to protect you when y

eric: the u.s. is looking into its flights to cure the measures as investigators keep working to figure out what happened to that russian plane. shaina: thursday, president obama publicly knowledged the plane could have been bombed. u.s. intelligence officials say they have information that isis or affiliates planted a bomb on the plane before it crashed in the sinai peninsula and killed all 224 people on board. isis says it was retaliation for russia's involvement in syria. the steps the united states is taking to step up security. there's a new twist to the investigation into the suicide of joe glinewicz. after discovering -- he killed himself september 1, staging it to look like he was killed in the line of duty. there will be two fewer candidates on the stage at the next republican debate. the fox business network announced chris christie and mike huckabee will not be on the main stage in no waukee, instead participating in a smaller four-way debate. they said they made these decision -- and thi
