house majority leader eric cantor, sir, thanks for your time this morning. >> thank you. >>> for moren the president's address let's bring in cbs news political analyst john dickerson who joins us from washington this morning. >> good morning, chris. >> i want to get your take on the things we taught to majority leader cantor about. start with jobs and the economy. if you've been out of work would you feel any better this morning after what you heard from president last night? >> not to the extent you can go down to the employment office and ask for something new. if you were listening or if you're hearing the reports this morning, you heard that the president talked a lot about jobs and about creating a condition where there are more of them and that they will be here for a long time. and so the extent that people want the president to talk only about jobs and that is what the poll show, did he that a lot and so i think in that way, people probably who are thinking about jobs will of liked what they heard. >> talked a lot about jobs but not so much about the deficit. no real talk abo

eric cantor will be on "meet the press" to talk about what's in store for the next two years.oining me this morning is the host of "meet the press" david gregory. >> good morning to you. thanks for having me. >> what do you expect to hear from the president? >> i think he'll focus on jobs. nasa really the focus of the administration. this morning we are learning the president named the ceo chairman of general electric to head his economic advisory board. another embrace of the business community after the november election to say that this country at large is focusing on jobs, turning the economy around. this is where the president needs to be politically and for the major public policy issue that he's facing, and that is a recovery that appears to be a jobless recovery. i think that's primarily what he's going to talk about as he gets into the business of political discourse and working more positively in divided government with republicans in power. that's the real focus. >> right. there's so much talk of stability and that we'll see more of it. will it be a reality? >> well
