i am eric shaw director of the mayor's office of housing development. i am pleased to update the san francisco rental assistance program that began accepting applications at the end of may. in the lead up to the launch we worked with key stakeholder in the development of the program including eviction and anti displacement community partners and homelessness partners to ensure it meets the goals. the rental assistance program is nonprofit organizations focused on targeted implementation with deep roots in the community especially those focused on latin x, african-american and indigenous residents. as a result of standing up the business program in the country in the midst of the pandemic last year. as we continue to recover the local rental assistance program was to target vulnerable householdses to ensure housing stability. this covers six months of rental assistance, three months of perspective rent and three months back rent. to buy far indicate they can apply for april 21st and later. the state is accepting rent due april 2020 and march 2021. a rang
