i'm eric shawn. >> i'm jamie colby. it's going to be a busy morning here. these new demonstrations come as egypt's top leadership meets for crisis talks. officially considering a proposal to actually outlaw the muslim brotherhood. leyland vitter continues to follow this live. what about this new twist? >> reporter: good morning, jamie. it's very clear the mus lick brotherho brotherhood -- early this morning tanks, armored personnel, soldiers, all converged on the egyptian supreme court. that's where we're hearing the latest demonstrations are headed to. in the past muslim brotherhood gunmen have not only tried to come up to these buildings but actually stormed government buildings and take them over. that's what they were trying to do a couple of days ago. when they failed to take over a police station. and then went ahead and took over a local mosque, barricading themselves inside. over the past 48 hours or so, there was a large siege on that mosque. a lot of gunfire coming out from the the minaret where the gunmen has taken their position. going forward w

. >> i'm eric shawn. pressure has been mounting on the president since last year president obama called the chemical weapons use in syria unacceptable and one that there will be consequences. since reports of that attack in syria near damascus, and in this video there are reports of hundreds of people, more than 300 killed and thousands more reportedly consulsing and gasping -- convulsing and gasping for air. allies are considering how to respond. this as the u.n team, syria says, will investigate. elizabeth program is live in -- elizabeth pramm is live in washington. >> they will agree to meet with u.n inspectors outside of damascus where the weapons were deployed. the obama administration says the damage has been done. a senior administration official says the regime's delay says they are intentionally delaying the inspection to hide the evidence of chemical weapons and not only is it too late to be credible, but much of the evidence has been corrupted which brings the question, what will, if any action

senior correspondent, eric shawn is live there. hello, eric. >> hi, shannon.at meeting set right this moment called by russia. that could be a very important indication because it could give a clue perhaps russia may float their own draft resolution against any military action. let's look at what we call the stakeout camera outside where the diplomats will likely give us a meeting after this meeting. russia and china saying they would veto any action and want to wait until the u.n. chemical weapons team on the ground in damascus issues its report and findings about the chemical attack. they spent a third day in that neighborhood in damascus where it occurred august 31st taking samples and the samples have to be annualized at laboratories and that process could take about a week and the team will leave syria on saturday. u.n. secretary moon said they should wait until inspectors release what they've found. here is a spokesman. >> regarding how the team goes about its work, the secretary does expect to have an oral briefing from investigators once they're out of

eric shawn is streaming live from the united nations with more. eric?t meeting of the security council now called at six hours from now, 6:30 eastern time. it is a follow-up to yesterday's fractured meeting, changes in language that were made to the british resolution, sent it back to the world capitals such as moscow and wait for the bosses, basically, to answer back for the meeting later on that we are waiting for. this comes as we now learn that the u.n. inspections team, the chemical team in damascus will be heading back sooner than first thought, and some here believe that could pave the way for a possible attack. the 15 members of the chemical team, thosement thosement thosen the ground for a third day at the site of the alleged chemical attack on august 21st. we're told they've been taking some samples of the dirt and other evidence from there. those samples will then be sent to laboratories around the globe to be analyzed with the results of those samples and the analysis may not come back for a week or so. and this comes as the security council

the trial of a man who allegedly killed shawn taylor, former redskins, is being delayed again. ericivera's trial was supposed to start today but a florida court postponed it until september 16th. taylor died in 2007 after shot at his home in miami. >> a major announcement in the case of a missing teenager. the fbi said it made an arrest in the disappearance of 17-year-old alexis murphy. jay korff has the story. >> it has been more than a week since loved ones heard from 17-year-old alexis murphy. the nelson county, virginia resident vanished last weekend. surveillance pictures showed her from a gas station not far from home. investigators say they picked up her cell signal a few miles away and searched for days in weeded areas and homes but to no avail. tuesday her car was found in charlottesville to the north. friday we spoke to her aunt. >> if she would be late for her curfew she would call and say i'm running 10 minutes behind, i'll be home soon. for her to just go and not call, it's completely out of character. >> the family remains hopeful that murphy will be found alive. autho
