eric stein is a portfolio energy at eaton vance where he helps manage the return. eric, does this blackout, the largest in some cases ever that the world has seen -- does it give you pause as an invest horr in india? >> tom, great to be with you. it does give you pause. it's synonymous with a lot of short term problems india has. we have a long term view of india, but there's so many short term problems and this is one of them. >> tom: what does this blackout tell you about the prospects for the india economy in the short term? >> i think in the short term, it's just one of many problems that the indian economy has. they have a lot of problems with the legislature trying to get bills passed to open up the country. and multibrand retailers. they haven't been able to do that. politically india isn't in good shape. and it's a reason one would want to be bearish on the economy, because the businesses aren't able to get power. >> so how does this look from a foreign trade perspective. >> they have their own power generators. it doesn't really hurt them. but it hurts the

. >> that is nancy pelosi and eric cantor trading barbs on the house floor. dr. jill steininterestingly, you are from massachusetts, lexington, so even as mitt romney attacks president obama over his healthcare plan, it was very much modeled on romney's health care plan when he was governor of your state of massachusetts. >> and we have had romneycare in effect in massachusetts for five years. there is a track record here. that track record is very problematic. romneycare, obamacare, helped some people and hurt others. it basically pits the very poor against the near poor. that is not a solution. i think the debate misses the point which is we can solve this problem. there is a track record of success, called medicare. instead is spending on wasteful insurance bureaucracy and paper pushing, we can take that 30% and squeeze it down to 3%. that is what the overhead is in medicare. and use that incredible windfall to expand healthcare and cover everyone. medicare works. people like it we need to improve it, but it works and we have a track record all over the world, really, of

eric: move on. you're up? >> dana: america lost a great thinker, developer. steine wrote the "7 habits of highly effective people." sold more than 20 million copies, 38 languages. it read that book, of course, don't make fun. it read that book leaving college. it was so helpful. i remember in particular he was on oprah one time, and he walked the audience through a personal mission statement. which wasn't about accumulating wealth. but was more about what would you want people to say at your funeral? good way to think about things going forward. america will miss him. >> eric: robert, you're up. >> bob: iron tic to me that when they -- ironic to me when they pass the healthcare bill, what you call obamacare, members of congress had to go to exchange like every other america had to do. the republicans voted to repeal it last week. you know what they did? they took it out and put back in members of congress having their favorite medical treatment, unbelievably better than anybody else can get it. you know who is in that list? the great paul ryan. republicans said the
