earlier today i spoke with one lawmaker, eric swalwell who serve said on the house intelligence committee. earlier today when asked if you had seen classified evidence of collusion between trump campaign associates and russia you said yes. there are things you cannot say. can you give a sense of what you have seen that's pointing in your opinion to collusion? >> anderson, there's evidence of collusion, both on the classified and unclassified side. my hope is that the world will soon see it. also, anderson, i want to be clear that evidence is kind of a collection of documents and testimony and different witness accounts. it has to be tested. it has to be developed. it's much different than guilt. to say you have seen evidence of collusion is also different than saying that somebody is guilty of collusion. it takes time to go from taking evidence to a guilt phase in a trial or for a country to review a house intelligence committee's report and to make their own determinations. >> i guess on the unclassified side, people know about paul manafort's history in ukraine, about roger stone allege

eric swalwell, good to see you. >> my pleasure. >> martha: here now, fox news senior judicial analyst, judge andrew napolitano. good to see you. he watched all of us today. comey was grilled. grassley got upset with him at one point. what'd you think about it? >> i was very upset at the explanation that director, he gave. as you know, for you and our colleagues, i have been watching this and monitoring it and talking about it and writing about it. his first mistake was on july 5th when he told the world that he was recommending to the justice department that mrs. clinton not be indicted because "no reasonable prosecutor would take the case." that is not a judgment he can make. then, inexplicably, and conceivably, he outlined all the evidence against her, which is so overwhelming, it defied the logic of a statement he originally made. then, when he revealed, we all know this history, two weeks before election day, they found, the obtained anthony weiner's laptop and they thought they were thousands of emails and there and they were reopening the investigation. he compounded this. all a

shortly before air time, i spoke with eric swalwell. i want to get your reaction to the naming of a special counsel. >> it's welcome news. this investigation was disrupted last week when president trump fired the chief investigator, director comey. i hope this say way to get that investigation back on track and that the american people can learn whether anyone in the united states worked with russia during its interference campaign. >> called for an independent commission to investigate russian interference. is that no longer necessary? >> more necessary than ever. that's the other part of the solution here. an independent commission looks forward and we know from the intelligence community that russia intends to attack us again. so this would be a commission that would be charged with understanding how we were so vulnerable, whether any u.s. persons were involved but most importantly what reforms are necessary so that future elections are secure. right now, i don't think that can happen anywhere other than in an ind pent commissioner.
