i'm rabbi eric weiss and honored to be your host. faith communities across the country pay a lot of attention to the goings on of the particular community itself and the world. we would like to invite you into a wonderful conversation with steve gelman, the publisher and editor of, jay, the jewish news of northern california. welcome. >> thank you. >> let's jump into. let's talk in, what is jay, the jewish news of northern california? >> many people don't know we exist. many people who donate to the local jewish federation will get jay newspaper in the mailbox and not know why. that is because they get it as part of their donation. people ask, what is a jewish newspaper? we look at ourselves as a way to understand the world through a jewish lens. but that is not an uncritical lens or a uniform view. it is a way to give a sense of identity. and belonging to the approximately 400,000 jewish people that live in the san francisco bay area. we have the third or fourth largest jewish community in america depending on whose numbers you are

on scene is our media relations officer eric weiss. member of the media can reach eric at (202)314-6100. i can take few questions now. >> yes, sir. >> um, so when you guys aren't going to do it while you're on scene. when can we get an idea of when there might be results from your investigation? >> we're going to be here on scene for four or five days collecting our evidence and, once we finish here, we continue the investigation back at our home headquarters in washington, d.c. all the document that is we collect, all the evidence that we collect, we're going to open up a docket eventually that will become available to the public. in the docket will also be our factual reports from our -- each discipline. and then eventually when we finish the investigation nine to 12 months from now the final report will become available to the public. >> can you walk us through some of the things like specifically how you would look into something like this, what you investigate, checking this thi thing, just kind of what the,, what the list of thing
