i am rabbi eric weiss. i am honored to be your host. our dear mayor, ed lee, has died. we would like to extend our condolences to his family, dear ones, people in the city and county of san francisco. as we continue, we would like to talk with the executive director of the department of aging and adult services and charity of dignity fund overnight advisory committee with city and county of san francisco. welcome. >> thank you. >> thank you. >> our country and every municipality is looking at issues of aging and the ways in which the values of the country, state, local, exercise those into services and understandings of the way people age and the kinds of services they need. i am wondering if you can give a short history of what department of aging and adult services here is in san francisco. >> certainly. san francisco has a long history of providing services for older adults and adults with disabilities. we are a leader in that. the department has been around for a long time but came together with service

almost five years after michael weiss was attacked the law finally caught up with this ivy league psychiatrist. ericnd jail. >> and peter van sanlt is here with us. good morning. >> good morning. >> so what is this new evidence that led to the arrest of book booinlder five years after? >> it camp to the statue of limitations and they finally decided let's give this a shot. >> that was quite a question that you asked. why did you buy that sledgehammer. i was very curious to hear her answer. what will be her defense? >> her attorney says you've got to stay tuned. we won't tell you yet. they can explain the sledgehammer and they hope to introduce a new piece of evidence allegedly a handwritten note from jake nolan, the boy who's allegedly ill, that says pamela had nothing do with this. >> has she made bail? >> she was turned down twice. she had her passport birth certificate, her child's passport and staying in a placy upstate new york. prosecutors believe because she has some wealth she's a flight risk. >> i'm intrigued. >> you can watch peter's full report, "the psychiatrist and the selfie" tomorrow
