i think we can all agree that what happened to erica and francisco is appalling. figuring out what to do about it is complicated by the fact that we can't agree on the facts. we can't agree on what is really happening on campuses. >> first of all, what's happening with campus sexual assault? is their crisis? second of all, are all reported rapes actually rape? and third, our college rapists serial offenders? will look at these issues briefly. the first is is rape at a high level. it shows that one in four women have been raped or sexual assaulted. another server came out that had much lower numbers, 6.1000 women and students between the ages of 18 and 24 were were ported being a victim of rape or sexual assault. there's another study in 2016 which diane talks about that shows 10.3% of undergraduate women have been assaulted. 4.1 had been raped and finally that 2014 survey. the ages between 18 and 24 were most likely to be raped or sexual assaulted. it was women on campus who were less at risk than women off campus. in other words, women off-campus were more likely
