. >> first alert meteorologist erica martin joins us now with a look at how it will impact your neighborhood. >> we are tracking first alert major snowstorm. coastal storm that will be impacting the area, and, in fact, meeting up with a piece of energy that is developing just to the west of us. where it's going to pretty much include the entire delaware valley, i-95 corridor surrounding new jersey cities in areas north and west of philadelphia overnight monday until late tuesday. most of tv snow does not clear until early wednesday. limited visibility. heavy snow accumulation. damaging winds and possible coastal flooding and beach erosion. a blizzard warning has just been issued for ocean county and monmouth county through tuesday. 6:00 p.m. and criteria for blizzard number one includes winds in excess of 35 miles per hour. we're tracking that of course for you here. first alert weather team. considerable blowing snow for at least three hours and visibility will be hindered. less than a quarter of a mile. those are the criteria we need to meet in order to consider this or call this a blizzar

let's go to meteorologist erica martin for that. >> two pieces of energy. talking about that for the past couple of days. talking about difference between snow and rain versus sleet. of course freezing rain and like to emphasize size freezing rain is upon contact on the ground. takes a couple of seconds and then you get freezing rain. looking here locally. current wind gusts see the development of system over the coast of virginia and west of us seeing this system develop and transferring energy which is why this system is starting to what we call deepen or strengthen as it continues to work way up the eastern sea board. right now wind gusts are a big story. ranging anywhere between 33-mile-per-hour for atlantic city. 30 for wilmington. 23 for millville. 28 for wildwood. 30-mile-per-hour wind gusts for tlef philadelphia. so surprise here. high wind warning in effect until 6:00 p.m. today. for ocean county. we're also seeing atlantic county included here. keep in mind we had really strong wind gusts that will start to increase as low pressure system continue
