erik: we do. as part of the view associated with the dollar, but mostly recognizing that real rates are negative and likely to stay negative and could become more negative given the path policy, given the risk of slower recovery, slower realization of inflation. monetary policymakers are not raising rates anytime soon. they will let rates rise so we see rates go deeper negative for some time to come. if you want exposure to real assets gold is one way to express that you. -- view. alix: do you feel like yields in the u.s. have more to drop than anything in europe? erik: we don't think yields in the u.s. will rise meaningfully from here. they could drop more. a significant resurgence of the virus, additional shocks and economic growth, you could see yields decline. itt is not our base case but is baked into a bear case. what we see is rates staying stable and inflation expectations picking up, further causing real rates to stay negative or go more negative. alix: you see that happening in the u.s.
