erik runge is live at the blue line stop on california with more. erik? >> it's the first of several closures over the next several weekends as the cta concert starts to improve the blue line. will start here at 10:00 tonight here at the california stop. that's between western and logan square. it will remain closed until monday at 4:00 a.m.. crews will start working on the track to make a smoother and faster ride for people. all part of the your new blue $492 million improvement project. the upgrade will be made over 10 weeks finishing in august. this is part of a larger cta $4 billion project that should eliminate blue line slow zones and also improve the stations along the way. and it will cut the time from o'hare to downtown by 10 minutes for those that use the blue line on the weekend. shuttle buses will give you around the closure. there are also street closures happen overnight search crews can actually get up underneath the tracks and start working. there will be overnight. but intermittently through the weekend they will have closures. be mindful
