erika gonzalez is joining us with new information. erika?reporter: eun, we are in district heights in prince less than five minutes ago we learned this is the scene of a targeted attack with multiple victims. prince george's county police on the scene now right behind me is the intersection of aztec drive and gateway boulevard. so if you push a little further in, that is the actual location of the investigation. at this point, it is a homicide investigation. so that is in the 6500 block of halleck avenue, i believe. what we can tell you at this point is that there is, in fact, one person dead. we understand that is the result of a gunshot wound if not multiple gunshot wounds. as for the other victim, police tell us there were multiple victims in a targeted attack. we are not sure what the extent of their injuries are. all we know is they have confirmed to us there is one person dead. that it was some type of a shooting. and there are multiple victims in what they are calling a targeted attack. we are live in district height back to you. >>>

i'm erika gonzalez. >>> it is now 6:46.n for the driver in a deadly hit and run. this happened near capella avenue and shiplett boulevard in burke. megan mcgrath is live on the scene now following the investigation. >> reporter: that's right. the search for this driver involved in this deadly hit and run continues. and actually police are looking to help from the public in finding the driver involved. this began to unfold away 9:00 last night. police say that a 33-year-old man, a pedestrian, was walking along the curb here at the intersection near shiplett and capella avenue. for whatever reason, they say that the man, the pedestrian, stumbled into the road. one car was able to swerve and avoid hitting him, but a second car described as a dark sedan struck him. he later died here on the scene. that striking vehicle paused for a moment and then left the scene. they were not here when police arrived. and so police very much wanting to catch up with that driver, looking for information. unfortunately not a lot in the way of a

i'm erika gonzalez. tomorrow. you see the mayor muriel bowser wrapped up a news conference moments ago. >> reporter: we are live at the staging area in this shopping center parking lot. this is a road island metro that tracks are above. the heavy equipment has been brought in at this hour. we can see some people working there on the track in that area. we still do not have a timeline for when this mess is going to be cleaned up. csx is still in the process of maintaining and getting these leaks sealed and getting these tanks uprighted. there were no air quality issues that were found today. also no problems with water contamination, that according to the mayor. you had the brunswick line only running to silver spring be able to get on the metro. amtrak's northeast corridor service is not effected. the road island metro station is still closed. shuttle buses are in place. the derailment did not effect metro tracks, but it happened right under them. let's hear now from mayor muriel bowser and the metro spokesperson.

erika gonzalez. >> reporter: this is video, cell phone video, of what appears to be a commercial bus d.c. to new york, and it appears as though he is watching tv as he is driving this commer bus. i'm joined now by the reporter that broke this story this morning. thanks so very much for joining us. how did you get your hands on this video? >> reporter: well we heard from the passenger who was sitting in the front passenger's seat. he was driving from bethesda up toward new york city for a business trip. and he realized that the driver was watching his smartphone while they were up on i-95. he took out his smartphone and started videotaping it. the driver is clearly shifting his eyes down and to his left. the passenger sent us the video and several pictures and let us know that this was going on. he was on the bus at the time while we were hearing about what was happening. >> this has to have been so scary for that individual. did they say something to the bus driver? did they confront him? >> was very scared. he said he wasn't able to read or do any work. he did not confront the bus d

"the washington post" reports last week the fire official was put on leave after inappropriate images and comments were discovered on facebook. just yesterday, the fairfax county board of supervisors announced it would hire a third-party consultant to assess the working environment within the fire and rescue department, focusing on equal employment issues, workforce morale, and mental health issues. the actions of a few should not tarnish the reputation of the entire department. >> this fire department and
