erin o'hearn is live in the satellite center. she's got the very latest.rning erin inch good morning, tam. tragic news to report this morning. officials tell us that the 58-year-old man who perished in the fire lived alone in his plumstead township home. officials also say this was an extremely complicated blaze to fight and they did not find the body of that 58-year-old man until several hours after they arrived on the scene. now, point pleasant firefighters initially responded to the home on the 6600 block of point pleasant pike shortly before 8:00 p.m. yesterday when firefighters arrived on the scene, there was heavy fire coming from the second floor and the back of the home. a short time later crews had to evacuate because of the deteriorating conditions. when it was safer for crews to go inside they searched for nearly four hours in very difficult conditions before finding the man. their search was complicated by the collapse of the roof and the amount of belongings that were inside the home. >> a lot of difficulty. there was a lot of material inside

i'm erin burnett. tonight, caved. the second republican governor in two days is now back down from a controversial bill that's out raged americans. a bill that critics say allows businesses to turn away gays and lesbians. the stunning reversal came from arkansas governor asa hutchenson. for weeks he said he would sign the bill but he backed down after pressure. he's now pledging to fix the law. late today, lawmakers in indiana said they are close to a deal to revisewaiting those terms at any minute. my it comes down to the definition of fix. what are you hearing? is this going to be enough to quiet the outrage? >> reporter: i'm hearing that definition is not easy to come by. republicans are in that room. they've been there now for just over four hours. they spent two hours earlier today and two hours later in the day. they have been in meetings. all schedule for here in the capitol have been put off to deal with this specific issue and try to figure out if there's a way that conservative republicans can get their way

good morning erinism good morning, tam.s an undercover police sting that spiraled out of control. the reserve deputy robert bates is charged with second degree manslaughter after he apparently reached for his taser but instead grabbed his gun. now you can see from this video eric harris running from police after he allegedly sells a gun to an under cover tulsa deputy. moments later bates fires his gun not the taser and you can hear him on camera apologizing. now an hour later harris is dead. the sheriff's department says in the heat of the moment bates made a horrible mistake not realizing he'd drawn his gun even warning his colleagues he was going to use the taser but just before he pulls the trigger of the gun. a sergeant with the tulsa police say bates was the victim of something called where in high stress situation a person and tends to the do one thing instead of something else. some experts calling that junk science. the parents of harris are speaking out demanding transparency and justice. >> we come to expose it. w

good morning, erinism good morning, tam. a sad story this morning.icials tell us that the 58-year-old man who perished in that blaze did live alone in his plumstead home and officials also tell us that this is an extremely complicated fire to fight and they did not find the body of that 58-year-old man until several hours after arriving on the scene. now, point pleasant firefighters initially responded to the home on the 6600 block of point pleasant pike shortly before 8 o'clock yesterday evening. when firefighters arrived on the scene there was heavy fire coming from the second floor and the back of the home. a short time later crews had to evacuate because of the deteriorating conditions. when it was safer for crews to go inside they searched for nearly four hours in very difficult conditions before finding the man. and their search was complicated by the collapse of the roof and the amount of belongings that were inside the home. >> a lot of difficulty. there was a lot of material inside the house and a lot of things in the house so the fire had a

"action news" reporter erin o'hearn fills us in with the rest live at the big board.n. >> reporter: hey matt, there's an intense focus on several videos now including this one that captured the same arrest. they show the suspect being put into the back avenue police van in a high crime area. that suspect freddie gray would later die as you said of a severed spine but neither a cell phone video or video from the police cameras seems to explain exactly how he suffered that injury. now, police documents say gray was taken into custody without force or incident but then, according to police, he suffered a medical emergency. police say gray ran from police who pursued him and arrested him as the video shows at 8:39 there. just four minutes later at 8:43 when he is put into the police van he asks for an inhaler. at 8:46 the van driver says gray gets irate so the van pulls over and leg irons are put on. a medic isn't called, however until 9:24. gray is then hospitalized. seven days after his arrest, the 25-year-old was dead. an autopsy shows he suffered that spinal injury an
