two of our elected superdelegates for the democrats erin bilbray and state kihuen both believe too much is being made of the superdelegates influence at this stage of the process. both also say the main focus between now and saturday is getting people out to the caucus and helping to move the process forward. both hillary clinton and bernie sanders were in town... courting voters over the weekend. "we suprised a lot of people in iowa, we suprised a lot of people in new hampshire,we are going to surprise a lot of peoplin nevada. (cheers)" sanders used a mega-phone sunday... to address supporters who couldn't get inside a rally sunday at bonanza high school. during his hour- long speech - he addressed familiar topics like income inequilty - health care - and the cost of college.... but also touched on the recent solar power rate "it is beyond my comprehension what your public utility commission did here in the state of nevada (boos)... we should be expaning solar, not contracting. erin bilbray is an elected nevada superdelegate who is supporting bernie sanders. more the message than the messenger she says most superdeleges follow the popular vote. last week bernie sanders easily won new hampshire but walked away with the same amount of delegates as hillary clinton. she thinks too much is being read into the superdelegate's role right now. these superdelegates they unpledge, they don't have to stay committed to who they are. i think that should have waited until closer to the convention a good example of how the superdelegates can tip the scales happened in 2008 when then senator hillary clinton had majority of the superdelegates heading into the national convention only to see them leave her and back then senator barrack obama. state senator ruben kihuen (key/win) another elected nevada superdelegate doesn't think that will happen again. i do feel all of that work since last year is going to payoff on saturday and that she is going to win not only the popular vote but the delegate vote too ruben kihuen who is not only campaigning for clinton
