erin coleman is live in the news center with more on what the judge had to say. >> jackie, meek mill lawyers have been working to get him out of jail since last night. he was sentenced to prison after violating his probation which he's been on for more than a decade. the rapper used a dirt bike to sell drugs in 2007 and violated his probation when caught popping wheellies on a new york city street earlier this year. the judge said, "meek mill continues to pose a great risk to the safety of others in philadelphia and throughout the country." the filings went on to say, the rapper has failed drug screenings saying it is unclear if he continued to use fast flush or other items to conceal his urine. fast flush is something that you ingest to get drugs out of your symptoms. the lawyer has talked about why the judge needs to recuse herself. >>> people are outside for an early afternoon walk. this is a live look at the italian market. it's a fun place to visit and spend time. we're tracking the return of rain tomorrow. >>> tammie souza is breaking down the timing. >> the clouds are going to

i'm erin coleman. it started with a phone call just after 1:00 in the morning, saying someone needed to go to the hospital. when police arrived, they found a dead body. nbc 10's pamela osborne is live in south philadelphia with what investigators have learned. pam? >> reporter: well erin crime scene investigators have finished up here but you can see police are still holding the scene. they tell us when they got here the front door was unlocked. they also say the house appeared to be in order. only adding to the mystery of why the 65-year-old man who lives here was killed and who was responsible. it was a 911 call that brought police to this row home on the 1200 block of johnston for a report of a person who needed to go to the hospital. when police entered the home they discovered the body of the homeowner in an upstairs bedroom. investigators say he'd been stabbed in the stomach. he was pronounced dead at the scene. early this morning, police were interviewing a woman who knew the victim in hopes of

i'm erin coleman. the first alert weather team issued a first alert for cold and snow that could impact the evening rush. here is a live look at cape may. the steadiest snow and one of the spots with the highest totals, we have team weather coverage. glenn "hurricane" schwartz has the most accurate forecast. >> it is a strange kind of system. i hesitate to call it a storm. one of the first places that we'll see it is in wilmington, delaware. we have a slip apery afternoon rush. the entire area effected but the least impact in lehigh valley. from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. and 1 to 3 inches across the area and the cold ground equals slippery roads and just at the wrong time for much of the area. two hours ago this was nothing. now this area is starting to expand. the snow is not reaching the ground yet in these areas. as you can see, things are changing. this is a live radar. some coming into chester county. it is an indication of some of those places that are likely to see it snow first. this is a tiny area of

i'm erin coleman. the chaos at atlanta's airport is impacting travelers across the country and rate here at home. here's what's caused all of that trouble. georgia power released two photos of fire damage to the underground electrical system. passengers chee s cheered as th returned just before midnight. the first flights out of the airport didn't start taking off until 6:00 this morning. hundreds of flights were canceled or delayed. airport officials say they hope to be back to normal later this afternoon. now, the delays and cancellations are also happening at philadelphia international airport, part of the trickle-down effect. five flights arriving from or departing for atlanta have been canceled today. airport officials say, check with your carrier on the status of your flight. we caught up with one woman trying to get home to atlanta, who says she is beyond frustrated. >> it's just a mess. we had to find a hotel. the airlines aren't accommodating anything. it's super frustrating. we have a baby. d
