and i'm erin mcelroy. thanks for joining us on the wgn morning news at *4 a-m. demetrius will have your forecast in a couple of minutes, but we start with breaking news ... several people were injured overnight when a c-t-a blue line train derailed at o'hare airport. tonya francisco is *live at the scene with more. >> we are here at the lower level right next to the hilton o'hare where at 3:00 a blue line train was coming into the o'hares stop. the last stop on the line apparently not able to stop it kept going and crashed into a platform. according to witnesses, the train went up the escalator. no word on if anyone was standing on the escalator. at least 30 people have been injured. we've seen several taken from the scene on structures. many of them are able to walk. a lot are able to talk but a lot of them are in shock saying that it is utterly devastating what happened to them early this morning. still try to figure it all out. we are hearing from passengers that maybe the conductor or the driver of the train may have been in some kind of medical distress whi

and i'm erin mcelroy. we are all blue today except for demetrius. i guess you are a bit in the blue family. >> you are royal i am more navy. >> how's the weather? >> it's looking good. people are trying to adjust their tv sets so we are remiss in color. the weather is looking good so far. we are only 10 degrees right now so it is cold but we will warm up a bit. i don't know about you, but it's a bit tough to get used to these temperatures. sometimes we reach the '40's and in most cases this week we are only in the upper 20s. but we will warm up today. right now we have readings of 20 degrees. satellite radar composite shows we are dry. for the day, 38 is our temperature by 5:00. that might fill nice with the sunshine. by 9:00 p.m. we're back down to 34. to our morning rain will be in the region. this weekend is probably a washout. >> keep in mind we still have shuttle buses to the tail end of the blue line. you'll have to get off that train and then take the shuttle to the airports all because of the work on those trucks. that's from the derailment
