erin o'hearn is live in the satellite center. she's got the very latest. ning erin inch good morning, tam. tragic news to report this morning. officials tell us that the 58-year-old man who perished in the fire lived alone in his plumstead township home. officials also say this was an extremely complicated blaze to fight and they did not find the body of that 58-year-old man until several hours after they arrived on the scene. now, point pleasant firefighters initially responded to the home on the 6600 block of point pleasant pike shortly before 8:00 p.m. yesterday when firefighters arrived on the scene, there was heavy fire coming from the second floor and the back of the home. a short time later crews had to evacuate because of the deteriorating conditions. when it was safer for crews to go inside they searched for nearly four hours in very difficult conditions before finding the man. their search was complicated by the collapse of the roof and the amount of belongings that were inside the home. >> a lot of difficulty. there was a lot of material inside t

let's go on over to that action news reporter erin o'hearn picking up our coverage at the big board. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. parts of baltimore are a war zone this morning and this is new video you see here showing police in riot gear and trying to get the protesters off the streets with fires burning all around them. and we also just received this new video into the "action news" room in the last 30 minutes and as you can see there, that's actually a a rite-aid and it's engulfed in flames. now, this is just one of several fires still burning across baltimore. 15 officers were hurt in the riots and more than two dozen people have been arrested. as we mentioned the governor of maryland has declared a state of emergency and called in the national guard but there are still pockets of unrest in the city that has been overtaken by what mayor stephanie rawlings blake calls thugs. the violence started shortly after high school let out and young people began looting a local mall and liquor store. now i want you to take a look at the video coming up. this is the police commis
