erin o'hearn is more with that in this week's your life segment. >> reporter: it's a spectacular time of year to celebrate and people are absorbing an enormous am of stress to make the holiday more exciting for hire loved ones and childrens. >> toys are expensive and electronics are expensive. >> budgets are hard to stick to especially when so much emphasis is put on gifts under the tree. >> parents feel badly that the kids will be disappointed. the psychologist says that parents often overspend but disappoint is a feeling that is okay to experience. >> when you have their parents there to help them get through it, it's great to manage to learn a little bit of disappointment. and how to work it through and be comforted and move on and still have fun. and preparing kids about wish lists limits can be best. >> we make the list and can you add it if that is something you are interested in and you may get a few things from your list for christmas. >> that is how i manage it, i do the top three things and anything else is extra. >> and take self inventory. >> are we focusing too much on bu
