late this morning he was arrested outside ernie's liquors near highway 99 and waterloo road. over the weekend... saito walked away from his mental hospital in hawaii...took a taxi to the honolulu airport, then was somehow able to charter a plane that landed in san jose....he touched down in the south bay two hours ábefore the hospital reported his disappearance. deputies tracked him down today, thanks in large part to a yellow cab driver...to wants to remain anonymous...but says she realized after she got home last night...that saito was in her car yesterday. cab driver: "i was lying in bed watching the news when i heard them describing him, and i was like woah i had him in my cab!"(grant / con't vo) that cab driver says she took saito to walmart...he told her he wanted to buy a cell phone...saito also reportedly told her he was then headed to the reno or tahoe region. saito was acquitted of a 1979 murder by reason of insanity and committed to the hawaii state hospital. fortunately, any threat he may have posed to the public, is over tonight. i mean, what do we do next, how d
