joining me now, errol sothers and david rivkin.l, as we look at that last tweet there, is the president laying the groundwork to use this memo as justification potentially for firing the deputy ag, rod rosenstein? >> quite possibly. obviously this memo was to prove the fbi and the doj had abused their power, and it doesn't do that. the fbi doesn't have a political axe to grind. it could be laying the groundwork for that. i don't know how this helps him. but really, honestly, i think this memo hurts him more than anything else. the memo leaves a number of critical omissions out as it laid out the so-called facts. most importantly, the fact that steele, the steele dossier wasn't even in existence when carter page was under surveillance in 2014. the judges in this memo that approved the fisa application are never identified. the evidence in this memo is never identified. and most importantly, the primary sources are left out. so although he wanted this memo to perhaps lay the groundwork for firing, i think it does just the opposite. >
