let's bring in errol louis and chris lu, a former assistant to president obama and former white houseol, you're just joining us so i will start with you. we have been talking about this retreat from the g7 communique ahead of the president's meeting with kim. is there some residual impact? the kim give president trump on his word and global inclusion. hat value of that diminished as he goes into this meeting? >> it's interesting, victor. you raise -- you're sugari isug interesting. the unpredictability of the president which was on display following his depar from the g7 his late arrival and early departure and refusal to sign the communique might deserve in good stead in the next rounds of negotiations with a very different kind of a partner. this is someone who is not an ally but adversary and not downed to any rules of the international system. and so the hope that some people have had all along is that the very erratic nature, the very unpredictability of donald trump, at times, might be exactly what the situation calls for if you're going to deal >> right. so, chris, with that sa
