the fbi called them this morning about a stolen bmw linked to bank robberies in ervine. agents released pictures of the suspect last month. the fbi told the robbery abatement team this morning, the gps was telling them it was parked here. units sat here for six hours watching the car, and around 5:40 tonight, a man got into the car and started to pull out. a plain clothes unit moved in to make a stop but the driver tried to hit them with the car, so police fired. >> when the officers exited their plain clothes car, the suspect then aggressively moved for drove his vehicle at the officers. officers fearing for their own lives, discharged their firearms to stop the suspect. >> reporter: police say the suspect died at the hospital. his identity has not been released but the bmw was stolen in pasadena may 16th and linked to two bank robberies the next day and tracked down here today. one neighbor said he heard several gup shots. so many he thought it was a fireworks show. investigators will be talking with many of the neighbors trying to find out what they saw. because polic
