espn is what you want to look at. it appears to be growing.in carriage fees from the cable companies than any other network. it is the jewel in the crown. is there any risk to espn's fees? >> i do not think there is any risk to the carriage fees. espn is well locked in for a nice growth for the foreseeable future. competition is increasing. you can see that with cbs bidding on the package of the nfl games. i will take a chunk out of their cash flow because they won't be able to sell advertising thursday night for what they did the eight weeks cbs is on because people are not going to go against the nfl. it is too powerful in the broadcast business. taking chunksle out of the company, but they have these wonderful businesses, i do not think they got proper attention, the cruise line business. they have been expanding the fleet. they sell out. people go to the parks. marvelousry integrated way to create wealth for shareholders. i like to buy the stock under 10 times cash flow, i am a little above that right now. i don't think i'm going to get a

we have abc, espn, disney, for instance.y wellhat are not branded but really in demand because of their product. so whether there is consolidation or whether the ownership with the existing multichannel business changes, we will still be as in demand as we have been. you cannot go after the multichannel subscriber without offering our product, so it does not really mean that much to us. >> i want to talk a little bit about how technology changes your business. i don't know if i can call you a techie. let me know if you would ascribe yourself about that, but you embrace technology and like to see it used in ways. in the parks you are doing that. you talk today about how it is actually enabling more activity at the parks, some of the new technology you are using, the magic and. can you talk more about that and the rollout of that? >> sure. we believe in technology for a number of reasons. i have articulated this often. clearly it gives the ability to the rocks better, meaning experience better. whether it is a movie, tv show,

you have abc that took monday night football and put it on espn. notion it would then go back to broadcast is interesting given importance of espn to disney. >> i think it's a good point when we're comparing a business like cbs to a business like disney. in the case of cbs it's largely about the broadcast network. in the case of disney we're talking about abc but in terms of what drives this business, we are talking about the cable networks and espn and disney channel. and it goes beyond that because have you the theme parks and movie business and ph.d.ing and licensing. all these things come together to make a big broad business. the signs suggest they are seeing a lot of growth in those different areas. >> when it comes to earnings later today, what should we be matching for? >> you think about the box office performance of a movie like "freezen." i think this is at about $860 million worldwide. it's an important story for disney in the sense disney animation has seen a bit of a rensauns thanks to the pixar team that builds that animation busines

. >> so somebody who is willing to pay say for espn, the deal that espn, that disney strikes with comcastould essentially change for them what they may see or perhaps what they may pay on a monthly basis? >> well, yeah, so comcast can come to the table now and say we want to pay less, and we have seen these battles, including with time warner. cbc, the network, was off time warner in new york and los angeles and dallas and some other cities because cbs and time warner cable couldn't agree on how much they should pay cbs. when you combine the two companies, they have a lot more bargaining power. >> we saw in that piece -- we had one of the analysts say they didn't think there would be much dramatic changes for customers in terms of pricing. do you agree? >> i think the pricing will continue to go up. the ceo said this is proconsumer and procompetitive, but it's hard to imagine what in this combination is pro-competitive or what is pro-consumer, unless he is ready to step forward and make mrem -- pledges about pricing. comcast has gotten bigger and bigger over the years, and has that .hahhe

that's espn, star, and espn uk. but it's a good, good segment.be growing as fast as people thought maybe a month ago because of the pressure from the deconsolidation of espn uk but, you know, it's a very strong business. >> obviously iger takes a victory lap from this quarter. how do they keep the momentum going and how much of the good news is already priced into the stock right now? >> well, that's the question with disney, how much good news or bad news priced in. you know, surprisingly disney is a megacap company in the group, but it's more volatile around earnings than other companies because they don't provide guidance. there's a lot of missing pieces. the quality of earnings shift from quarter to quarter. so, i would say if they keep putting up quarters like this where everything works, except for broadcasting which is never usually a part of the bold thesis, the stock will do well. but also, remember, sometimes it doesn't work. like last year everything worked but cable and cable had a pretty bad quarter last quarter. so, i think that's t

espn conducted a poll of nfl players' reactions to michael sam's announcement. anonymity for the players who responded to their survey, and they got replies from 51 players. almost the number of a full team roster. a pretty good representative sample number of a population that size. the players responded to statements with a simple true or false answer. the first item was "a player's sexual orientation matters to you." 86% said a player's sexual orientation does not matter to them. next was "i had teammates or coaches who used homophobic slurs last season." almost 2/3 of the nfl players who responded said they had teammates or coaches who used homophobic slurs. and to the statement "i would shower around a gay teammate," 3/4 of the people said they would, leaving 1/4 of the players who would apparently go home from every practice and every game very dirty and sweaty. yesterday president obama made it very clear that he thinks what michael sam has done is a very big deal. >> i really like the fact that michael did it before the draft because his attitude was, yo
