in the future, we are going to see only biofuel or solar cells or windmills, et cetera, so we are shifting out the oil from the production here. we need to be smarter in the future, because more and more people are moving into cities, so we need to have cities being constructed more smart and make people make smart choices in transport or in energy consumption, et cetera, in order to actually save the globe in the end. one of the things that we are trying to make here in stockholm royal seaport is installing a smart grid network. and we're working with a power company that supplies electricity, and if we have residential areas, energy being produced by solar cells or by windmills, et cetera, on days that there is no use for electricity, they should have ways to shift it back to the power company for use elsewhere in the grid. so that's what we are trying to find ways to make possible--to have a smart grid installed and also make it legal and also make it economical so that they should actually get paid for handing electricity to the grid. >> by transforming a relic of its industrial past i

if so, did it work with the heritage esthetics, et cetera, et cetera. it also goes to the community group or the business group in that area. it goes through the graffiti department primarily because we do engage past graffiti vandals who are now legal and are doing artwork. so, in vancouver there is no active graffiti tag names, crew name used in our murals. we've come up with a fairly loose guideline which is being defined by a new graffiti programmer, program coordinator david over there. and they're coming up with some parameters so that the city can work with people that come from graffiti so that there is still some incentive for them to become artistic, to go into doing murals and other art. use their style, use that medium that they enjoy. but if they were to use active graffiti tax or names, we know from our experience of having 200 murals in vancouver it's going to attract graffiti. it's very likely going to have a negative effect on the artwork itself. so, we are building parameters around that and trying to work with the subculture, trying t

so the first category i think is 0 to 40, 50 to 90, 100, et cetera, so we get a sense of what's going on in the city. so what we did, we had no idea specifically where the graffiti was happening. what we did we took all of the graffiti complaints from the start of the program, 2008 to 2010, we took all the graffiti notifications that went into our bylaw system, be they calls that went in or be they officer-initiated complaints and we mapped out what were the top 20 neighborhoods that had reported graffiti vandalism. based on that, we selected the top 20 neighborhoods and determined those would be the neighborhoods we would audit. let's go in and see if the neighborhoods reporting graffiti are the ones where graffiti actually is. do you just have a more vocal community in that area, do you have an organization on a mission or do you have more graffiti. i won't go into too much information about the 5 neighborhoods, but every year we do a comparison map between our original data set and what we're seeing in each given year to determine if we're having fluctuations in reporting. we haven
