of the two recently injured firefighter ethan sorrell who suffered burns in his throat and lungs has been discharged from the hospital. he will be a respiratory outpatient. kevin o'toole who suffered very bad burns on his arms and hands and on about 50% of his body is likely to remain hospitalized for weeks. the closest fire station to friday's blaze is the volunteer department in riverdale heights. it was out of service friday night because none of the volunteers was a certified driver. why not station a career driver there all the time? >> that becomes an unsafe environment where one person potentially is responding on a fire truck. we're not going to allow that to happen. >> reporter: the chief pointed out the response time friday night from the next nearest fire station was two minutes 43 seconds. response times don't get much better than that. the chief is ordering a special safety investigation of the incident including outsiders on the panel. the fire department in prince george's county is hoping someone knows something about who sparked one or more of these fires and hope yo
