eugene, what shape is the bill in right now? >> well, it's passed the senate and this will be headed to the house. it was a -- there was some drama that we weren't really expecting. we weren't really expecting to see this long period of kind of waiting on saturday because joe manchin was kind of -- was playing kingmaker here a little bit. he was talking to both senate republicans and democrats on exactly what was going to be in the bill. it's passed, it will head to the house. something that i think is really interesting and going to be interesting to watch is that there's a lot of frustration within the house with how this worked out in the senate, that it was democrats that almost -- that felt like it might taint the bill at some point. a lot of that anger pointed at joe manchin himself. that frustration is going to continue and it's going to test chuck schumer and president biden's ability to keep this democratic caucus together and how that happens with a lot tougher bills, this is a bill that is probably the easiest one out

eugene, good morning it is always great to see you here on "way too early." why don't we start with these cabinet nominees. there is a lot going on with neera tanden including someone who had been close to hillary clinton, close to ron klain, but she had been very critical of some progressives like bernie sanders on twitter and of course of republicans. what is next for her and does the fact that they had to pull this actually in a way give breathing room to any other nominees that might be facing challenges? >> it certainly could. we know the reality is that neera tanden was a bit of a lightning rod for some on both the right and left. but what we know based on that statement from biden, that she will find a place in the administration. and when i spoke with her on my podcast, she made it clear that she had a lot of interest in seeing what the biden administration would do to restore the economy which has been devastated as you know for many different groups due to the coronavirus pandemic. and it is possible that she somehow could lend her expertise and her
