the second example i will show is 368 eureka street, a before and after pictures. 368 eureka is another example of a huge expansion in our very small area to a 1906 building. it was a 10 foot vertical edition. it was more like a 25 foot vertical addition, as you can see in the before and after pictures. this is another example, at 376 eureka. the developer bought a small 1907 house, raising it, adding a large rear addition and a complex roofline that was visible from the public way. the same architect that stevenson -- stephen fowler is using for this project also deemed that compliant. basically, the board of supervisors overturned the environmental documents for the project. a more sensitive and respectful project was since completed their and is now occupied by great neighbors. it is the city's responsibility to body weight projects against cumulative impact. this is not happening in our district. so the word it acknowledged in a memo to the project sponsor -- sophie hayward acknowledged in a memo to the project sponsor that there needs to be an analysis of the boundaries and charact

i'm the president of castro eureka valley neighborhood association. i'm not going to restate everything that has been said. really, all i wanted to say was we are fully behind this. the most important aspect of what has been talked about was the community really engaged in extensive process of looking at copper market and what we wanted in 2007. the community overwhelmingly said it wanted market octavia controls to extend up into the castro. unfortunately, that was never caught a fight, and this whole process was just to codify it. in the interim, what happened is neighborhood residents, community members have had to engage each project one by one, whereas all we are asking is control so the neighborhood does not have to be constantly vigilant and have to work with each project sponsors so that we can all work under the same rules and guidelines. it has been a lot of work, and i personally do not feel that it should be my job to make sure that these things happen. that with the community decided on, really should be planned and codified. that is reall

as the library campaign organizer for the library campaign, we reopened the eureka valley branch after a renovation in october 2009. as a nonprofit, we always seek the most cost-efficient way to feed the large crowds we see at these events. we solicit donations and discounted food from our neighbors. we saw a lot of generosity in this neighborhood, but not as much as from ike's place. with just a phone call, we had 100 sandwiches with which we were able to feed 1000 people. that must cost at least $1,000 for ike, for which he sought no recognition. he was just happy to provide that to the neighborhood on what is an extremely important and exciting neighborhood celebration. i am just here to speak on behalf of ike's as a wonderful neighbor and a community member. my name is mary aubler, friends of the san francisco public library. thanks. >> i am alan parker. i worked in the office of economic workforce development. i have been working closely with ike and his business manager to make sure they are aware of the concerns they had before and that they take active space -- active steps in
