i life at 309 eureka street. this site plans concerns the principal concerns of the neighbors and that is the height of the project, particularly in the center and the way it presents from the mid-block open space, it has impact to the properties to their gardens and south walls and impacts my property which is just south and the way it overshadows our north courtyard which is a source of light for principal rooms in our building. this is a street view looking down from the south to the north. you see the subject property on the end there. and the lot slopes to the rear of the properties and this property is the last east-west lot on the block and it has this unique opportunity where it has this north naysing wall that faces the gardens on 20th street and it presents light and views from that property. you can see stepping down of the buildings on the mid-block and also the characteristic roof forms, gable roofs, and lower slide to the left, it is a view across the subject property towards the 20th street propert

i was a neighbor at 305 eureka for 13 years and i currently still reside in eureka valley. and i'm very impressed that the intg right that this family has invested into the ownership of that said property but the neighborhood. i think that they are extremely vested in wanting to work with neighbors and coming up with solutions to the issue. i have seen any architect would know if you drive anywhere even on this street, you will actually see as far as design goes a diverse architecture skyline of homes and for the benefit of the neighborhood. i drive past eureka street all the time. there are homes that are in question in some of the participants here in regards to curb appeal -- curb appeal is not there. with the freels this is what it is about, improving the home and neighborhood for the benefit of eureka valley. and i have every belief they have the integrity to do so and work with the parties involved. i hope it comes to a friendly resolution. >> hi. i've come here to offer my support for the project. i also speak for my brother who can't be here tonight. he's in orange

we're not expecting to get any of this activity from eureka to crescent city, but it is a sign of things to come as we head into the weekend. we're not going to be clear here as we head into saturday and sunday and we're certainly not going to be warming up. also wanted to bring you those reported tornados and where they were located, because it was so rare and so unusual. we only average about one to three tornadoes here in california for the entire year, and to have seven reported tornadoes drop down in about 90 minutes, just unheard of. one in willow's, one in hamilton, one in chico, one in paradise, and two in orville, and that's where we saw that damage, minor damage, but some power lines down, right around oroville. luckily, nobody injured in this, as a lot of it did happen in rural areas. as our radar scans around right now, at over 350 miles, we're finding dry conditions for the bay area and also some excellent visibility out into oakland, looking from the east bay right towards san francisco. it is a little bit breezy out there. winds west at 21 miles per hour. right for our bay
