the wind is picking up, up in eureka, karen miller watching us up there, it's pouring.sed to say. that's my bad, there. i had to edit it a little bit. it's pouring and windy in eureka, steve. i believe, some of the rainfall is lit up big time. eureka, crescent city, heavy rain a couple hours ago. some light rain, about fort bragg north. that seems to be the cutoff. for us, we're waiting on it, won't get here until late morning, early afternoon. about a quarter of an inch to a half-inch should cover the spread. this will be a bigger event for the sierra nevada. no doubt about it. there's going to be a lot of energy moving in. now, around 5000 feet, i'd say 8 to 12, but then from the passes to the crest, 12 to 22. so again, the sooner you go, the better. if you have to come home, i would get out of dodge as quick as you can. the wind will really crank up on the passes. 40s and 50s on our temps. going up because the southerly breeze is kicking in. mostly cloudy's, is the almost full moon is looking through some of those clouds, full tomorrow afternoon by the way, 2:40:04.
