this was around eight-thirty near fort eustis. police had to block lanes at some points while they worked to get everything cleared. and there was a fatal accident this morning just before 7-30 on eye-64, east of indian river road. police say a woman crossed over the grassy median to the westbound lane and was t-boned by a truck. she was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the truck suffered minor injuries. police say the woman was not wearing her safety belt -- and its unclear if weather played a factor in the crash. and this is what the roads in newport news. yesterday -- virginia state police responded to nearly 850- crashes across the commonwealth - that s including one on route 17-where a man died. police say he lost control of his car and hit a tree. right now level four wind restrictions are in place at the chesapeake bay bridge tunnel. that means winds are greater than 60 miles per hour. the only types of vehicles allowed to cross are cars without exterior cargo, pick-up trucks without cargo, mini-vans, and suvs
