and joining me now is nbc news terrorism analyst evan coleman with flashpoint partners. time ago and isis was just waiting for the right opportunity to make this announcement and deflect its own, i guess, ownership of it and put it on somebody else? >> i think the answer is we don't really know. i wouldn't even say we know for sure that she is dead. the only evidence we have is that her personal information, her name her home address, her home phone number in arizona, her e-mail address, were posted along with photographs of what appear to be a demolished apartment complex somewhere near raqqa, syria. supposedly this apartment complex had been targeted by jordanian planes. but the claim of responsibility didn't make a lot of sense. it also said she was the only person killed and that no other mujahideen or mujahideen were killed in the air strikes. which doesn't make a lot of sense. in the case of the jordanian pilot, isis almost certainly killed him around january 3rd and then for a month was ghoulishly bargaining with the jordanian government for him. she could have bee

. >> evan coleman joins me by phone. the jordanians have been demanding proof of life because they would release the suicide bomber held since 2005 on death row in jordan. they were willing to release her. what do you make of this tape? have you been able to analyze it? >> look one of the things about the video is this aside from the sheer brutality of what is shown in there, the video is extremely high production quality. even assuming that this video was created by several different individuals, it couldn't have been produced overnight. so more than likely even if this pilot was only murdered yesterday, they were preparing for this in advance. the video, it's interesting because the video, it's pretty clear what the message in the video is to the various different arab nations supporting the effort in syria and iraq, that if they continue to do this that this is going to be the fate of their pilots and attempt to dissuade them from being part of the coalition. it's remarkably specific about which countries its targetin
