zoom in for the excavation work over the next four years. excavation will start in this zone. it will be there for 10 months. we will be entering the site at this location, which is a couple hundred yards from second street. they will load up here and exit going out to the bridge and turning left again on howard. after about 10 months, excavation will start work in this area, which we call the central zone. they will come in on fremont and expit the sites, tgoing out for street. because the projects extend underneath beale, fremont and first street, we have traffic flowing across the street. we will construct temporary bridges for the traffic to allow the construction to proceed. temporary bridges will be constructed next to the existing roadways, and then installed over the roadways on a long weekend. the schedule shows that started later this year. as you can see, the bridges contain that read full lanes. -- contain three full lanes. in addition to the bridges, we have temporary access running down the center of the project. because the project boundary extends all the way o

about the're talking excavation of a large area like this, who is doing the work under your supervision? >> one of the great advantages of this project is it provides employment for the local folks. every year, we hire between 30 and 70 workers from the local village and they work with us for the 10-week seasons. this is all under the direction of the doctor at brown university. she worked very hard to create jobs for the local community. we're now standing outside of little petra, a suburb of the main city which supports the main city. we have a collection of ritual dining areas for the people who lived in this suburb village. insi a little petra is a monument known as the painted e. it was long lost to the modern era because of damage caused by human activities the cave. hit how neenow restored andee s the most unique bit of temper a painting that has ever been found in the ancient area. >> the whole business of archaeology, what is it? >> archaeology is the x -- is the examination of the past by excavating the duchess of human occupation. we love dumps because we can reconstruct peop

the massive excavation, therefore, started this year, when your early. we are making progress at the west end. -- one year earlier. the buttress work is approximately 15% complete. we have demolished most of the old terminal basement, now getting into putting the crossed bracing in. 301 mission st. wall was completed over the last year. we had a quarter million kraft hours -- craft hours. we have also had a special archeological digging, recovering a few artifacts. this has pubeen put together in the lobby admission. the staff says that the public as well received it. we have some design scope that has changed as a result of a wider train box to accommodate high-speed rail. we have now introduced a cable stay so that there are no connections on top of the box. the 35% design is completed. we have submitted those. we will be continuing the design this year with caltrans, completing it. the bus storage project, jacobs has made progress on that. the plans have been revised. additional meetings with caltrans. we have met with all the city and local people. w

for the last 30 years, we have undertaken an in-depth inspection of the condition of the floor and excavated the south exterior. we have come up with the following findings. the water intrusion into the gym is calling the floor slats to warp and generate mold. water intrusion is caused by a broken roof system, leaking gutters, compromised integrity of this out a section of the pavilion group, which allows water to see into the walls, and a training system which is undersized for the amount of runoff water that must be diverted away from the pavilion exterior. the existing floor does not have a moisture protection barrier, and significantly, none can be installed at the replacement for replicates the existing floor design. this is due to the structural limitation that the existing two feet by four feet support dresses underneath that supports the current floor. we found that those are actually embedded in the concrete sub-floor. that was the original pavilion design at the time, and they either have to be used or abandoned in place. additionally, the existing gym florez bill with two and one-
