economics, but i actual, without even having those numbers in front of me knew that this was going to excite us. i actually know that when we unveil this tonight, the feeling that i'm going to be having, is we just won another world series because it's going to bring that kind of excitement into city. and to have this timed in a way in which we have just finished the 75th anniversary of the celebration of the bay bridge, we have opened the auditorium and on our bay for the first time we have just finished the world series and the 55 sealing on our bay is a celebration for san francisco and this incredible rebounds that this city is experiencing can really only be complimented by the arts, because allows the arts to celebrate all the other things that we are trying to do economically to be covered, i think is an incredible cap on our future on what we can experience and exemplify to the rest of the world. this leaves me to an appreciation to the artist that he has not only visualized what 25,000 led lights can do but discovered a fashion in which will not see the same pattern at any time experie

this is really exciting for us. >> we're going to tell a quick story on how private data can stimulate civic innovation. this summer in singapore, we had about 30 data sets opened p. up. one data set was about a million or so records of taxis all over town. typically taxi data stuff, it's hard to get, private companies, they don't want to open it up competitively. one taxi company at the last minute opened up, motion loft made it efficient to see what would happen. because they contributed to the stuff, we had five separate teams working on could we do collaborative consumption of sharing taxis, build a dash panel for companies to know where to go. had i hatch i had been working on a model to see how much overlap there was. they sent us to tokyo to work on that. so, this one set, a million records of where the taxis were not only led to a lot of innovation, but people realized 15% of all taxi routes kind of where people went, about 15% of that was all overlapped. so, a city that never really thought about collaborative consumption or sharing suddenly is looking at that. parking data wa

it's already been said a number of times already today, this is exciting. many of us look out on all of you gathered here, i see something very familiar about this gathering. yes, we're here to break ground on something new, a new buildings that will house the new st. anthony's dining room and 90 units of affordable housing for our seniors, sponsored by mercy. but when i look out and i see all of these different people gathered here, jones and golden gate, i'm sorry struck by how in so many ways it's very normal and natural. there is nothing different about today than other days. people hanging out, on this corner, is nothing new. yes, a new venture with mercy housing and st. anthony foundation in a very innovative and exciting collaboration. but also something very familiar. the francisans and sisters of mercy stepping up to help san francisco. unlike you july 1st started our fiscal year and we already have that exciting year ahead of us. let me summarize this fiscal year as it conclude. for the month of june, we had over 4,000 visitors and that's our forecasted budget of $84,000 for the month. we ended the fiscal year at 883,000 visitors and if i could turn to the power point, there we go. our power point. you'll see that our final numbers beat our budgets by quite a bit. compared to last year's total of 1,816,000, we had 67,000 more visitors than last. congratulations to staff and for everybody for your support. it was a great fiscal year. we're projected 845,000 visitors, that's based on the averages of the last three years. also we know we had a great weather year. we may see spin off from that. i wanted to show you who was our lucky 800,000 visitor there. we gave him the royal treatment and he broke the record for the number of care sole rides. it's going to be hot, so part of our polar bear, we made adjustments to the exhibit. throughout the day this weekend and hopefully as the temperature heats up, the polar be
