we have high expectatio. if you are not used to that, you are not as comfortable.kids would be in the track meet at school and the person who came in first and last all got medals for participating. we don't do that here. you don't get a medal for participation. betty: he thinks companies can be demanding while keeping their employees happy but it is clear for this ceo, winning is what ultimately counts. our conversation turns to competition. will there be a shakeout and who will succeed? charlie: i think there will be some carcasses that don't make it. we just hope we're not one of them. you know, we don't mind other people being successful. we try to do it ourselves and think how we are going to be successful and we will be. betty: is it primarily on price? charlie: i think also user interface and how the user views. if you can pick it up and use it without an instruction manual. certainly, apple has pioneered that but we have done a good job of that ourselves. we have a lot of room for improvement on sling tv. now, we are 60 channels. we have to make improvement

come and we all don't know whether that will exactly happen but i base myself of course on those expectatioectations. >> let's talk about moodies. they see sovereign credit ratings remaining stable. in the global sovereign outlook for 2016 which is just published this morning. credit quality looks stable overall with major economic engines, the u.s. and china expected to continue to perform reasonably well in their words but the credit ratings agency highlighted risks with the outlooks they had about a year ago. joining us with more is in studio. good to have you today. >> good morning. >> busy, aren't you? what do you think is the most important part of this that we should take away with us? >> the fact that there's been a lot of talk recently about the implications of global growth and capital market flows. we don't think that's going to disrupt the broadly stable sovereign credit trend. >> let's talk about the negatives. you're seeing more tail risk on the horizon. which one is keeping you awake at night the most? >> probably this question of capital flows. very jittery markets and capit

you know, and we still have expectatio expectations. i know i always dragged around what i thought his expectations were and i think i referred to them in my mem ors as a brooding om any presence. it was the 25th anniversary of his death. this week is the 40th anniversary of the assassination of dr. king and it's just, there's some things that always are there. that date. is always there. and very poignant. the events of 1968, april of '68, are always there. poignant. the assassination of bobby kennedy is always there. in 1968. the assassination of john f. kennedy is always there. some of these big events like the death of my grandparents and that ones i've mentioned, are always there. there are some others. you never kind of forget them as reference points, so, the person of my grandfather, even to this day, never evaporates. it's always there. that's why when you ask earlier about the early influences, i go right back to that source. because you read mitchy, thomas e qui nas, your philosophy professors, you meet people over the years.
