and here's the exploratorium at pier 15. our dry and warmest day is tomorrow. it will be wet and cooler on sunday and then another chance of weather next week. here's a look at our storm. it's going to take the better part of two days to get here and when it does it's going to rain. the key is when it's going to rain. sunrise at 6:32. cloudy everywhere. i don't know how early your kids get up for easter egg hunting, but mine used to get up early. and then santa rosa, could you see over towards the coast, wet and drizzle down to about half moon bay. from 9:00 until noon, that's when we will seat heavier rain, and the steadier rain starts to move in to most neighborhoods, and then at 1:00, it's heaviest and starts to taper as we head towards 4:00 and 5:00. it's a light system. waking up at 6:00 in the morning. no measurable rain. and 9:00 in the morning, a couple of hundreds in santa rosa. it will continue to 0.1 to quarter of an inch by the evening. you will see temperatures drop 5 to 10 degrees, but rebound by next week. >>> a quiet start on the roads today and

let's talk about the exploratorium. looking nice from pier 15 to san francisco.ry today and heavy rain and wind, two rounds, one tomorrow and one friday, a few leftover showers on saturday. the storm doesn't look impressive, just up there in the gulf of alaska, and as it jumps into the jet stream, you can see that coming up from the tropics, and that's when it starts to ramp up to a modern storm on the impact scale, and strong, and possibly damaging winds and a slight chance of thunderstorms. tomorrow morning, commute starting off dry and mild. temperatures in the low to mid-50s. a few stray showers possible in the north bay, as we head through the morning commute, and as we head throughout the day up until 4:00, any showers will remain in the north bay. once it ends, the heavy stuff really comes in. look at the yellows, oranges, and reds, and it keeps going until a cold front pushes in to 4:00, and then there could be so much leftover water. 9:00, you can see it quiet, and then head into the late-afternoon evening hours with another round of gusty winds and mode

pretty shot as we look from the exploratorium out towards the bay bridge. you see some of the low clouds spilling into the bay. we are dealing with patchy coastal morning fog. cooler nu cooler numbers due to the fog. rain and wind heading our way by the end of the week. abc 7's exclusive impact scale, this storm ranks a 2 for friday. rainfall amounts anywhere from half an inch to an inch and a half, and also very strong gusty winds that will be a concern for possible down trees and power lines. chances of rain are basically none the next few days. we have pleasant weather. thursday night is when we have a storm impact scale of 1. light storm starts to move in, then the heavier storm comes in on friday, tapers off by saturday. and i'll show you what the wind is going to be like as well. so, this is a concern. so, by friday midnight, it's going to be about 40 miles an hour so it's friday early morning. notice it continues to be strong and heavy. we're talking reds and purples here for wind gusts. 50 miles an hour in the north bay and this continues all into s

this is a view from our explore or y -- exploratorium camera of the bay. we may see spotty showers tomorrow morning. after that we start to clear out a little bit. we'll see bright sunny days beginning friday. it will warm up. we'll have summer like warmth over the weekend. right now, though, we are looking at nighttime conditions that will remain cloudy during the overnight hours. maybe a spot or two of drizzle developing up in the north bay and the coast. low temperatures will be generally in the low to mid 50s. and tomorrow's highs will probably not climb very high. forecast animation starting 4:00 tomorrow morning, notice by 7:00 a.m., right in the middle of the morning commute we'll see a few spotty showers, a ring around the bay there. up north maybe steadier rainfall at fort ross, clear lake. but this problem will not be much of a rain event for most of the bay area. going into the afternoon hours, once again, patches of spotty drizzle. that's all we're going to have and tomorrow night it starts to clear out a little bit. add to all the highs as i m

right now we're looking at partly cloudy skies over the bay from our abc 7 exploratorium pier 15 in santhese are our forecast features. some brief downpours, giving way to scattered showers tomorrow. sunny conditions friday and saturday, more rain arrives easter sunday. storm impact scale, storm of light intensity. there will be some intense moments during the evening hours as we see some brief downpours moving through the bay area. isolated showers tomorrow morning. winds will gust 20 to 30 miles per hour. let's get right into the forecast animation. by 9:00 tonight we'll see an area of moderate to heavy rainfall pushing through the north bay. it will swing on down to the central part of the bay area by 10:00 tonight. and then continue moving south ward and eastward into the late night hours. overnight we'll just see some widely scattered showers. but that means we'll probably have areas of wet pavement on the roadways tomorrow morning from the morning commute. those showers will start to break up and end by late afternoon, early evening tomorrow. and as we look ahead to rainfall total
