exploratorium. those were the two pads you could go down. i think during the waterfront land use update we have brought forward intermediate term lease. these intermediate term leases the idea is to target where the improvements go to things that require public occupancy in the bulkhead, and then consistent with the port building code standards allow other parts of the building to not be improved to such a heidi agree so we can -- such a high degree but we have other areas that are improved not costly. they would probably retain the character of the current industrial maritime or low limited capacity of that pier. ultimately, this is sort of giving us a new tool in the tool chest to generate revenues and prolong the lines of these historic assets. one thing we have seen with the commission and port staff management is the challenge of having current sort of short term leaps holders in a lease where you want a long term project. recent examples at pier 70 with a number of smaller tenant to clear out in you favor of the waterfronts side projec

this is the view from the abc exploratorium camera.r 15, looking at the smoky back ground there, 55 at santa rosa. 50 at nevado. low 50s at concord and livermore. and from south beach camera in san francisco, looking along the bay bridge, and you can see just how smoky it is of the bay. smoky, hazy air through tuesday. only slight improvement is likely on saturday, and a chance of rain next thursday, thanksgiving day and that should bring us cleaner air and relief. but right now, looking at a forecast for unhelpful or poor air quality for most of the bay area tomorrow. and poor air quality on saturday and sunday. you know how bad things are when poor is an upgrade. that will be a modest improvement over tomorrow. overnight, look for low temperatures dropping into the mid 30s. upper 30s in the inland east bay. and tomorrow, another hazy day with very poor air quality. highs will range from low 60s at the coast to upper 60s around the bay, and most inland locations highs in the upper 60s, as well. a few locations top out at 70 or above.

giving you a view of the smoky haze over the skyline of san francisco right now as seen from the exploratorium camera. of course, it looks like this all over the bay area right now. 59 degrees right now here in san francisco and in san jose. we have mid 50s in oakland, mountain view and morgan hill, and 48 degrees in half moon bay. here is a smoky haze at san rafael. 50 degrees in santa rosa. 48 in napa. 52 in novato. 53 at concord and livermore. now we see the smoke over san jose, and these are our forecast features. the smoky haze will be with us through tuesday. we may see slight improvement in air quality tomorrow as we expect a little bit of a sea breeze to develop. then rain will arrive next week, bringing with it cleaner air as well. we are eagerly waiting for that. this smoke forecast animation shows these darker colors here representing the heaviest concentration of smoke. as we go into the weekend, notice how lighter colors show up on the map here in the san francisco bay area. that means, of course, slight improvement in the air quality, but i emphasize slight because we do expect p
