we are excited the trans-mississippi exposition here in omaha.s is a model of the grand court at the exposition to be at this is sort of the main area where the commission buildings for the new inventions that were brought to omaha would be showcased to the world and were exhibited. 2 million people came to this over the course of the exposition and all of them would have wanted to be inside these exposition buildings, talk to people, it was sort of the tv and radio before there were tv and radio's -- was tvs and radios. the exposition also wanted to have electric lights, and for some people, this was the first time they had seen electricity. so in these buildings the ones around the lagoon, these are some of the first buildings that had electric lights. it would be illuminated every night, and people were afraid that they would be able to explode and that people would be injured when they turned the switches on. so people wanted to see it but they also wanted to be a little bit away from it as well. the buildings of for the trans-miss were only
