it is cooler west. 50s, except for exstreet western maryland. our highs today running warmer than average. we did get close to 70 both baltimore and d.c. today. so that was unusual, as well as annapolis. you can see this band of heavier rain, most of which is confined to points well west of our state, reaching down into kentucky. the main storm system has yet to get its act together. it's beginning to sheet early signs of development over eastern texas. that's why we're watching the southern plains. that will be the origin that comes in into the day tomorrow. in the meantime that's surging up the coast. we've got scattered showers between two different frontal boundaries, the first of which is stalled out. the main front will come in and really bring in the cooler air later in the week. you can see that contrast going on already with 75 plus towards charlotte for highs today and in the northern plain has tough time getting out of the 50s. a few showers tonight. 8:00 tomorrow morning more significant hit and miss downpours could make your morning
