let me say something about ezra's point. if you look on the brookings website, you will see two pieces. one from a couple years ago and one will be out this week that discuss the heritage foundation's data. i rarely am in the position of promoting this but i would urge you to look at the heritage foundation data on illegal votes . i do not know if you have seen this, ezra, essentially they did it to the whole u.s., the data set, and the headline is look at all of these illegal votes, oh my god. then you take a given state. there were 56 cases of people voting illegally in one state. those cases occurred over 25 years. 25 years. millions and millions and millions of votes. and as you said, when you figure out the percentages, which my good interns have done, it's minuscule. think about this. if you are in this country illegally, are you going to vote? you don't want to do anything that draws attention to yourself. you are going to stop at every stoplight, never j walk. you do not want to commit a crime because you might get s
