the faa confirmed its year-long investigation to the "wall street journal" as well.west depends on a manual count by ground crews and you've probably seen that if you ever sat in a window seat on a southwest flight. the ground crews use a calculation using the average bag weight before they load the bags. the faa estimates in about a third of all flights that could lead to uneven weight distribution between the front and rear cargo bays which could impact pilot response in an emergency with an engine. in the statement i got from southwest, the airline disputes that faa estimate saying there is no current information to support it. at this point, the faa has not issued any disciplinary action nor fines and at this point, there is no accident linked to this problem. southwest airlines told the faa that the "wall street journal" rather the airline is rolling out computerized scanning of all bags on the tarmac, that should happen by the end of the year, what the impact is of that on this investigation we're not sure at this point but i'll post that statement from southwe
