facebook? e-mail? twitter? what are your thoughts on social media and how it has impacted networking? >> i and my co-founder are strong on social media. my presence on social media is far less of a comfort zone for me. it depends on what level you are starting at. showing up and meeting people and shaking hands and putting your face in front of them is the most important thing to me. when i have met someone and i can associate a face or a conversation or event with them, i feel so much more likely to respond to the e-mail or the tweet or facebook invite. when i look at my own career in media that took off in 2007- 2008, attending all of those events was the game changer. i know that twitter was in such a player at that point, that showing up and saying hello increases exponentially your chance that when i see an e- mail, it will trigger a response. i associated with something more substantial. >> i think if you meet someone and you see that person, you almost want to move past that and become friends. >> allies. >> exactly. i love going into rooms and seeing if there is some i have met once before a
